We started our business here in Yamaguchi in the early Showa period and established Okabe-Engei (garden center) in 1960. There are wide rice fields beside us and they have been cultivated all that while. After planted, the rice grow green in early summer and a refreshing wind blows over the fields. The wind is usually invisible but we are able to see its changing shapes of straight or curved lines on the green carpet. In Japan, people have valued something one is unable to see with a feeling of awe since ancient times. We would like to respect the idea all the time. We have been serving you with foliage plants for the last 59 years and orchids especially Fūkiran (Neofinetia falcata) for over 40 years. We named our online shop “Kazemidori” which consists of two words: “Kaze” (wind) from wind orchids and “Midori” (green) from green rice fields.
